Drum roll please! We are delighted to announce that the special guests who will be attending Childcare & Education Expo North 2022 are none other than Alistair Bryce-Clegg and Dave Benson Phillips!
The popular show, taking place on the 17th–18th June 2022 at Bolton Whites Hotel, is the perfect opportunity for everyone working in the early years and primary education sectors to broaden their network and knowledge.

Alistair Bryce-Clegg
Alistair, Owner of ABC Does, is an award-winning Early Years author, blogger, product designer and advocate of PLAY.
Alongside support and training for a range of settings, schools and parents, he also works internationally and with local authorities across the UK.
Alistair also has an MA in Education and is currently studying for his Doctorate in Early Years.
As a fan favourite, we are elated to have Alistair return to Childcare & Education North, where he’ll be presenting two seminars over the two days.
On Friday, he will be revealing what the superpower is that we all possess in an uplifting session that explores the power of play for children (and adults!).
Join this seminar and discover why play needs to be an essential part of everyday life.
On Saturday, Alistair will be drawing on scientific research and his 30 years of experience in Early Years, to examine the concept of continuous provision.
This highly educational seminar will show how, when it is well planned and resourced, it can be the key to high levels of engagement and attainment.
Dave Benson Phillips
Kicking off the workshops on Friday morning is entertainer, TV presenter and children’s TV elder statesman, David Benson Phillips!
It is certain that a large majority of children in the UK have enjoyed being entertained by David who, since 1981, has become one of the most popular children’s entertainers and presenters on and off television.
David’s successful career in performing arts and entertainment has led to him working with some of the biggest names in the industry such as the BBC, CBBC, BBC Education, ITV, CITV and NICKELODEON.
David’s passion for children’s entertainment shines bright in his performances.
Come along and join in the fun as he performs and teaches Makaton nursery rhymes in his free workshops at Childcare & Education Expo North.
