  • Join us as we reveal the shortlist for the 2025 Teach Early Years Awards

With so many educational resources available, finding the best options can be a daunting task for nursery managers and reception class teachers. That’s where our annual Teach Awards make a difference.

Each year, we invite companies and organisations to submit their resources for assessment by our expert panel of judges, highlighting the tools most worthy of schools’ time and attention.

And now the 2025 shortlists are here!

This year’s awards cover 18 categories across early years, primary, and secondary education. Entries were judged against criteria including:

• Is the resource appropriate for the intended learners? Can teachers easily adapt it to suit specific educational needs and settings?
• How unique and innovative is the resource? Does it offer something new or significantly different from existing options?
• How effectively does the resource support learning, development and improved educational practices or outcomes?
• Does the benefit of the resource justify its cost? For free resources, is it worth the time and effort required for implementation?
• How well does the resource withstand regular use in busy educational settings?
• How user-friendly is the resource for educators with varying levels of expertise?
• What is the environmental impact of the resource in terms of production, use and disposal? Does it promote sustainability, reduce waste or have a minimal carbon footprint?

The shortlists represent the very best in teaching resources for 2025 – a curated guide for educators seeking quality, effective and innovative tools for their classrooms.
