This book is a dream I’ve shared with my daughter Caitlin ever since her 5th Birthday. It was that evening, she asked me to make up a bedtime story instead of reading one of hers. Looking at me with her big blue eyes, how could I refuse.

What started out as a bedtime story soon began to evolve. Caitlin would ask me to tell the story to her again and again. Each time I would add more details in and Caitlin would also add ideas of her own. She then told the story to her Nana, who is one of the characters. As a former Nursery Teacher she convinced me to put it down on paper.

I jokingly bounced the idea of writing it as a children’s book with my wife Lisa. Before I knew it she had found the amazing illustrator Monika Suska through the internet. Once we saw her first painting for the cover, we knew there was no going back.

Publishing this book has been a lot of fun, but also a lot of hard work. They say that everyone has a book inside them, now I can understand why not everyone publishes it :0)

We have self-published and self-funded everything, so nothing you pay will go to publishers or any other fat cats.
