Tapestry is a secure, online, fully-featured learning journal system used in over 17,000 schools and settings. From Nursery to Year 6, staff can upload observations, assessments and reflections on teaching and learning, and share with parents, carers, and other professionals as required. Tracking is getting a bit of a bad reputation at the moment and Tapestry is primarily about communication between schools and families, rather than tracking progress (although we do offer that, too.) NEED TO KNOW! 1 Support children’s learning and development through regular communication with their parents and carers. Sta and families can upload unlimited observations, photos and videos to a child’s individual learning journal. 2 Record and monitor assessments for EYFS, KS1 and 2 and SEND. A variety of assessment screens give you just the right amount of data to support children’s progress, without overwhelming sta . 3 Using the secure child login feature, pupils can add to their own learning journey, uploading class or homework accompanied by photos and videos, supporting their independent learning and technological skills. TAKE A LOOK! Record and monitor assessments for EYFS, KS1 and 2 and SEND. Developing and maintaining positive engagement with parents and carers deepens a class teacher’s knowledge about each child, enriching the teaching and learning experience. Tapestry enables staff and families to share information, contributing to a complete picture of a child. Around 9,000 schools use Tapestry to record evidence of learning, follow pupil achievements and locate gaps across the EYFS and National Curriculumsubjects. Tapestry’s Activities feature allows you to support learning at home. Teachers can select activities from theTapestry Catalogue or add their own to be shared with children and their families. Parents and carers can communicate how their child responds to the home learning experience through observations and comments shared with teachers. Everything is linked together for easy reference. Tapestry Reflections is a tool which allows you to nurture your staff wellbeing, by valuing their reflective contributions. It offers a secure place to share and discuss individual staff and whole teamexperiences, questions, and projects. Whether it is a subject leader sharing ideas about their subject area, or SLT collecting conversations about an aspect of the School Development Plan, Reflections allows you to keep these together in a reflective timeline.
