Achieve Maths and Achieve English are 12-week GCSE curriculums, covering all English skills and GCSE Maths content at foundation level, to support students in gaining a good pass at GCSE. Both contain 12 modules made up of at least three lessons, with every lesson utilising a consistent structure and a mix of different learning methods. Our four-step approach to learning (Pod – Quiz – Practice – Apply) supports all students in unpacking a given skill, and then applying what they’ve learnt to an exam-style question. This approach closely replicates that of a teacher or tutor, and can be studied at the student’s own pace. After this, they Practice applying the knowledge they’ve gained by working through a range of scaffolded tasks, before they then Apply and consolidate their learning with the aid of exam-style questions. To support self- marking, mark schemes, model answers and fully worked solutions are available for all lessons. Each lesson also employs a distinct success criteria, alongside student-facing tips on how to meet said criteria, as a way GCSEPod – Achieve Maths and Achieve English of boosting students’ confidence. Building confidence is at the very heart of these resources. As well as being perfect for those students aiming for a good pass, Achieve Maths and Achieve English can also function as a prior learning exercise for students who, for example, are entered for a higher tier maths paper. Material from both sets of Achieve resources can be further used in class to set homework or provide revision tasks, and are proven to work particularly well with intervention groups, or to help identify knowledge gaps when inducting new students. Achieve resources provide a structured TAKE A LOOK! Re-engage your KS4 students’ enthusiasm for learning and rebuild their confidence approach to independent study, and can be adapted into smaller bespoke curriculums to better support the specific needs of individual pupils. Use them to review prior learning, as a teaching tool whilst learning new content, or to consolidate a topic or skill. Another notable way they can be used is as a Example of Achieve English workbook
