Online and print resources that support the curriculum UK Parliament’s free resources support the curriculum in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.They include online and printed activities with accompanying teacher notes, orderable booklets, assembly PowerPoints, games, lesson plans, videos and muchmore. Four favourites are: • ‘Discover the UK Parliament 7-11’: a booklet packed with fascinating facts, games and fun learning activities that challenge pupils to explore the difference between rules and laws, and how they can get involved with their UK Parliament. • The interactive game,‘MP for aWeek’, which builds students’understanding of the role of aMember of Parliament. • ‘How itWorks Post 16’: a great publication, providing older students with useful insights into howUK Parliament works. • Learn Live: Votes for Women: this tells the story of women’s suffrage in the UK. Learn Live is a fun, interactive approach to engage young people with the work of UK Parliament. The teachingmaterials, which have been designed to suit different styles of learning, empower primary and secondary educators to teach topics across the citizenship, history, SMSC, modern studies and politics curriculum.
